McAlesterโ€™s business community is buzzing with growth and opportunity this fall. Since August, the Chamber of Commerce has welcomed several new businesses and members, showing that local investment and community engagement continue to rise.

New Businesses and Chamber Members

The Chamber proudly introduced several new members to the area, including:

Hungry Lotus
Oklahoma Policy Institute
Grant Stone Consulting
Wedgewood Roofing
Jiffy Lube
Apex Title
American Li-ion, a major new operation setting up at the industrial park

Hungry Lotus, known for its creative Vietnamese-inspired street food and community presence, joins the Chamber as part of a growing wave of small businesses strengthening McAlesterโ€™s local flavor and identity.

American Li-ionโ€™s arrival is particularly exciting for McAlesterโ€™s economic landscape. The company is expected to play a big role in local industry growth and job creation, marking a promising development for the cityโ€™s industrial park.

Community-Minded Leadership

Local franchises are also helping shape McAlesterโ€™s community culture. Word around town is that the manager at Jersey Mikeโ€™s has been making a great impression, a reminder that leadership grounded in kindness and service can make all the difference in how a business connects with its neighbors.

National Civics Bee Coming to McAlester

In an inspiring announcement, the McAlester Chamber will be one of only five chambers in Oklahoma participating in the National Civics Bee, a nationwide competition designed to inspire civic engagement among students in grades 6โ€“8.

Hosted by the U.S. Chamber Foundation, the Civics Bee challenges young people to showcase their knowledge of government, history, and citizenship while building pride in their communities. The event represents McAlesterโ€™s growing commitment to education, leadership, and youth development.

Local networking and collaboration opportunities continue this season:

Chamber on Tap: Next Thursday at Bierkraft, a casual evening of business networking and local connection.

Oklahoma Department of Commerce Visit: Representatives from the aviation industry are scheduled to speak in McAlester on November 6, bringing insights into state initiatives and opportunities for local business development.

A Strong Season Ahead
